Yotam Solomon's Designs Make an Appearance on ANTM Premiere
The latest cycle of Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model—this go around exclusively enlisting models who stand 5 feet, 7 inches and under—debuted its premiere last week.
During the first round of auditions to see which contestants will make it to their model house took place in Los Angeles and featured a catwalk competition with the model hopefuls wearing looks by West Coast designer Yotam Solomon. In true ANTM fashion, the models raced to racks of garment bags hanging with their photos to see if they qualified for the catwalk round.
The designs on the runway—from Solomon’s Fall/Winter 2009 collection—featured a dress with shoulder-detailing pieced from jewel-like fragments and dresses with decidedly placed cutouts and relaxed draping.
I also spied Tyra rocking Alexander Wang's mesh dress with patterned insets, from the designer's Spring 2009 Ready-To-Wear collection.
