Our friends at Elle.com singled out this New York Fashion Week attendee’s chic street style in its Street Chic feature on the Elle blog.
I’m wondering if her top is by Raquel Allegra, the Los Angeles designer who wowed the crowds at BOXeight Fashion Week in Los Angeles in 2008 and again earlier this year at Gen Art’s Los Angeles Fashion Week show.
I'm guessing the New Yorker’s version is by an Allegra imitator. Part of the appeal of Allegra’s line is the gritty history steeped in each piece. The designer gathers used tees from prisons and jails and deconstructs each by hand into her fantastic cobweb creations. You can see more of her collection below and at ApparelNews.net.
