New Location a Hit for ISAM
The International Swimwear/Activewear Market, held concurrently with the MAGIC Marketplace, reported a big uptick in traffic due to its new location alongside the WWDMAGIC womenswear section at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In past seasons, ISAM had been held at the Las Vegas Hilton, adjacent to the LVCC.
“We’re very happy to be in the North Hall. Our exhibitors got the traffic they were looking for,” said Barbara Brady, ISAM’s show director.
While the number of buyers in ISAM’s aisles was up, Brady reported the actual orders placed in Las Vegas were narrower than in the past. Still, many of swim’s big players were there, including Raj Manufacturing, Blue Water Design Group, Manhattan Beachwear, Apparel Ventures, Swimwear Anywhere and Perry Ellis. Independent brands made the trek to ISAM as well, including L*Space, Sauvage and Luli Fama.—Erin Barajas
