Affliction Signs Two Licensees
Affliction Holdings, the edgy line of clothing that has sponsored several mixed-martial-arts events in the past, has signed two licensees to make footwear and accessories under the Affliction label.
Evolutions Footwear has the license to develop boots, sandals, athletic and sport casual shoes with embellishments that will include antique metal studs, embroidery, graffiti and hand-sewn details.
August Accessories has a domestic license to manufacture men’s and women’s belts with rock-inspired embellishments, hats, stainless steel and leather watches, scarves, and gloves for Fall 2009.
Affliction, based in Seal Beach, Calif., launched in August 2005 with men’s T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and thermals heavy on screen-printed graphics worn by rock bands and athletes.—Deborah Belgum
