Colorado Lowers State Wage
Colorado’s Department of Labor and Employment lowered the state’s minimum wage from $7.28 to $7.24 to reflect a decrease in the consumer price index. Colorado set its minimum wage to inflation to protect low-wage workers from having wages remain steady during inflationary times. However, because the decrease falls below the federal minimum wage, Colorado workers will only fall to the federal $7.25-per-hour level.
