L'Koral

L’KoralCooper Design SpaceSuite 415(213) 412-0181Filling more than 3,000-square-feet, L’Koral’s first-ever West Coast showroom brings all the manufacturer’s contemporary brands under one roof. Opening Oct. 16–20 for the Spring 2010 fashion market, the showroom will feature L’Koral’s LaROK; Patterson J. Kincaid; PJK Blue Label; and Elizabeth and James, which includes a footwear collection as well as a men’s line. For the upcoming market, Elizabeth and James, a contemporary line licensed from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, will show one final time in its former showroom, 10Eleven in The New Mart. After the Spring 2010 selling season, the collection will be a permanent fixture in the L’Koral showroom.

Prior to the showroom’s launch, L’Koral’s brands had been in separate showrooms. Headed by Reneacute;e Vida, vice president of West Coast sales, the corporate showroom is meant to showcase L’Koral’s brands and increase the manufacturer’s communication with the retail community. “It’s important to have all the brands together to have more control over them, but it also makes it easier to work with retailers and, if they are carrying one of our brands, introduce them to the rest,” Vida said.

The brands share a high-end aesthetic but offer unique points of view. LaROK, an item-driven contemporary collection, wholesales from $45 to $110; Patterson J. Kincaid, a contemporary tops line, wholesales from $25 to $75; PJK Blue Label, a diffusion line, features menswear-inspired woven tops wholesaling for approximately $48; and Elizabeth and James apparel wholesales from $100 to $300.—Erin Barajas
