The Vault Women Debuts in Calabasas, Calif.
Contemporary fashion boutique The Vault Women opens at the exclusive The Commons at Calabasas retail center, located 28 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, on Nov. 24. It moves into a more-than 1,400-square-foot space that formerly housed the Belle Gray boutique, which is owned by actress Lisa Rinna and her husband, actor Harry Hamlin.
The Calabasas Vault is the second location for The Vault Women chain. The first Vault for Women debuted in Laguna Beach, Calif., in November 2008. It offers contemporary labels such as Juicy Couture, Fresh Laundry, BCBG and Eva Franco. The Calabasas store will carry premium-denim labels such as True Religion, Laguna Beach Jean Co., Rock & Republic and Robin’s Jeans, according to co-owner Gila Leibovitch. Leibovitch and business partner Johnny Alper also own six other boutiques, including Premier Kids in Los Angeles’ Beverly Center and Premier Men in Los Angeles.
In October, the management of The Commons at Calabasas sued Rinna and Hamlin for breach of contract and unpaid rent of more than $635,083. Rinna and Hamlin also own a Belle Gray boutique in Los Angeles’ Sherman Oaks neighborhood.—Andrew Asch
