New Man at Sears
John Goodman, most recently the chief executive of apparel retailer Charlotte Russe in San Diego, has been named executive vice president of apparel and home at Sears Holdings, for both in-store and online merchandise. Goodman will also serve as president of Kmart apparel until the position is filled permanently. Goodman will be based in San Francisco, where Sears is opening an office to be closer to the apparel industry there. During his 20-year career, Goodman has been president and chief executive of the nowdefunct Mervyns department stores and president of the Dockers brand at Levi Strauss and Co. and has held a variety of positions at Gap Inc. in San Francisco.
