L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2010: Biatta
Biatta Intimates closed the two-day Rock Fashion Week event on Oct. 30 with a parade of lacey, pretty things. The Los Angeles–based label highlighted its year-round “Be Sexy” line, which is treated with an extra shot of dress-up sex appeal from its juniors and more-sophisticated Biatta Intimates ranges. An affordable line aimed for the mass market, the brand played the greatest-hits stories of lingerie: black and neon pink; black and powder-pink color combinations; zebra prints; pinstripes; gingham; rose prints; sheer lace and bridal white in bra and panty sets; corsets; camis; and babydolls. Biatta added its own touch in the details, such as neon pink lace-up ribbons on the hips of panties, adding a lace overlay on the hourglass sides of a striped camisole and pairing sheer mesh panels with opaque prints.—Rhea Cortado
