L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2010: Future Heretics
Many designers dream of creating a look for the elegant and the beautiful, but Bryden Lando and Alex Kosters resolved to develop a fashion collection for the sexy survivalist. They debuted a 40-look Spring 2010 collection for Future Heretics, their Los Angeles–based denim line, on Oct. 15 at Fashion at Broadway at the Los Angeles Theater.
The Future Heretics look emphasized a rugged, Mad Max ethos—with some hippie and prep touches. Jeans and shirts were treated with pigment dyes and some resin coating for an apocalyptic, beat-up look. The label also offered blazers with peaked lapels and a wide array of leathers made out of lambskin and deer hide.—Andrew Asch
