MOL Offers Direct Service From Vietnam to the West Coast

Tokyo-based global freight and logistics company MOL will begin direct-shipping service from Vietnam to the West Coast beginning June 4 from Tan Cang Cai Mep Terminal, located about 31 miles southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The company’s Pacific Southwest Express service will offer service to the ports of Los Angeles and Oakland, Calif.

MOL’s PSX service from Cai Mep will stop in Hong Kong and Yantian, China, located east of Shenzhen, before heading to Los Angeles and Oakland. The return trip will stop in Tokyo; Xiamen in China’s southeastern Fujian province; Dachan Bay, also in Shenzhen, China; and Hong Kong before returning to Cai Mep.

Transit times for the shipping routes are 16 days for Cai Mep to Los Angeles and 11 days for Yantian to Los Angeles.

Approximately 37 percent of MOL’s Asia imports are bound for the West Coast of the United States. The company operates a diverse network of liner and logistics services around the globe.
