DHL Center Opens in H.K.
Plantation, Fla.–based DHL opened a 120,000-square-foot DHL Global Forwarding office and DHL Fashion Competency Center in the Kowloon Commerce Center in Hong Kong’s Kowloon district. The DHL Fashion Competency Center will help manufacturers and importers “develop customized logistics products and solutions” as well as staff a team of “industry experts providing consultancy services to customers in North Asia Pacific.” “Hong Kong is the sourcing, merchandising and distribution hub for fashion in Asia. This is a reason for our selection of the KCC, as it is in line with our strategy to reduce our carbon footprint,” said Kelvin Leung, chief executive officer, North Asia Pacific, for DHL Global Forwarding. DHL opened Fashion Centers of Excellence in India and Sri Lanka earlier this year.
