Lenzing Highlighting ProModal and Technical Expertise at L.A. Textile Show
At the upcoming Los Angeles International Textile Show, Austrian fiber maker Lenzing will be highlighting the benefits of its ProModal fabric, a blend of Modal and Tencel.
The fiber blend, introduced last year, combines Modal’s characteristics, including soft hand and good dyeability, with Tencel’s moisture-management properties and smooth fiber structure, which mitigate skin irritation.
Both fibers are made from wood pulp and require less water during cultivation than cotton. Tencel is made using a solvent-spinning process that creates a closed-loop production method.
Lenzing will also host a series of technical seminars at the show, ranging in topic from “Technical Innovations in Knitwear” to “Vortex-Air Spun Yarns.” ProModal will be the topic of discussion at its own seminar, titled “Innovations in Knitwear: ProModal,” at the show.
