The Tricot Showroom, known for its range of international and domestic fashion, has relocated to the Lady Liberty building from the Cooper Design Space.
Owner Vivian Patao opted for a larger space (hovering around 6,500 square feet) and the Lady Liberty’s airy loft appeal to display her lines, which include a host of contemporary sportswear.
“We have a mix of international labels as well as lines from L.A. and New York. I think we have something special to offer the customer here,” Patao said.
The showroom’s collection includes Solid Gold Rags, a novelty T-shirt line from Los Angeles, wholesale priced from $35; Jackson Johnston & Roe, an eco-friendly collection from Brooklyn, N.Y., priced from $65; Juliana Jabour, jersey and knit fabrics featuring youthful prints from Brazil, priced from $75; Eksempel, a line of colorful, sophisticated sportswear from Denmark, priced from $75; Les Praries De Paris, a full collection of clothing and footwear from Paris, priced from $85; Dace, a line of affordable sportswear from Vancouver, Canada, from $55; and Heidi Merrick, California romantic looks from the Los Angeles designer.
Patao also carries jewelry from Kimberly Baker featuring 18-karat gold and sterling silver and a scarf line called Carnaby Street, priced at $40.
“There’s a little of everything here for the better specialty store,” Patao said. —Robert McAllister
