Hipsters like organic too. “The problem is, most organic T-shirts out there look and feel like a burlap sack,” said Anthony de la Rosa, national sales and marketing manager for Green Goods. “Our focus is to provide a product that is made from 100 percent organically grown cotton and that looks good and feels good.”

The Los Angeles–based brand, a division of the Grey Goods T-shirt-blanks brand, launched in August as an organic alternative for contemporary brands and the promotional market. “We do adult contemporary sizing with a contoured fit,” de la Rosa said. Men’s styles include crew and V-neck T-shirts, while women’s options include crew, V-neck and scoop-neck T-shirts. In the next three to six months, the company plans to add a variety of silhouettes to its offerings, including yoga pants, polo shirts, long-sleeve shirts and hoodies.

Produced overseas, the T-shirts are washed in reclaimed dye water so as not to produce additional waste. “We don’t use vegetable dyes, but by recycling the dye water, we lessen our impact on the environment and are still able to produce consistent colors,” de la Rosa said.
