NGC Updates Pre-Production, Sourcing Software
New Generation Computing has released updated versions of its e-PLM and e-SPS production and sourcing software systems.
The new version includes a module that helps users meet compliance requirements for the Consumer Product Safety Information Act (CPSIA) as well as the 10+2 Importer Security Filing requirements.
CPSIA requires vendors to account for lead content in children’s products, and 10+2 requires that importers provide detailed information on imported shipments at the port level.
In addition, a series of Web-enabled features have been added to the systems, facilitating remote access.
E-PLM also includes enhancements to the fit, spec and sampling process to allow multiple sizes and size classes per sampling; the ability to maintain color and grade rule tables as well as label and packing instructions over the Web; and enhancements to the measurement and spec pages to allow comments and overrides on POMs. —Robert McAllister
