October is shaping up to be “Fashion Month” in Los Angeles.
The newest player on the Los Angeles Fashion Week calendar, New York–based Rock Media Entertainment was recently in town working on the Los Angeles edition of Rock Fashion Week.
Plans call for 12–14 runway shows and lots of parties—including a huge Halloween party at Paramount Studios.
Slated to run Oct. 28–31, Rock Fashion Week will fall at the end of a month of fashion events in Los Angeles. The California Market Center will host its Majors Market for department- and chain-store buyers Oct. 5–7. Gen Art is slated to kick of Los Angeles Fashion Week on Oct. 9, followed by events hosted by BOXeight, Downtown L.A. Fashion Week, L.A. Fashion Weekend and Muse L.A. (formerly called CoLA Fashion Week). The runway events will overlap with the Los Angeles Fashion Market, which is set for Oct.16–20.
