Boheme Boutique at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim Kick-Off Party at The Raleigh Hotel
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim kicked off with a splash with a cocktail party and fashion show poolside at The Raleigh hotel. Boheme Boutique presented key looks from its recently opened South Beach store to a chic Miami Beach crowd. Guests viewed models walking the runway staged in the waters of The Raleigh’s historic Art Deco pool.
Boheme owner Edit Meurrens who also owns boutiques in nearby Key Biscayne and the private community of Fisher Island said her aesthetic complements the relaxed lifestyle in Miami Beach. Meurrens caters to the elegant bohemian woman who is fashion savvy, yet appreciates simplicity in her beach wardrobe.
Boheme Boutique is the first retail store to present at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim and the show offered a well-rounded look at the upcoming Cruise 2010 season. The look was eclectic and chic with a mix of swimwear and cover ups by designers such as Kenzo, Pinup, Delfina and Anna Kosturova as well as men’s styles by Sundek and accessories by Flora Bella and Moyna. Styles included crochet swimsuits, gauzy dresses, beaded tunics, neon colors, tie-dye swimwear and plenty of sequins and glam embellishments. —N. Jayne Seward
