New VP at GlobalTex
Stephanie Cole was named vice president of GlobalTex, the new textile and sourcing trade show that debuted in April.
Cole is vice president of apparel and accessories leasing for the Market Center Management Co., organizers of GlobalTex and operators of the Dallas Market Center. She will continue to work for MCMC in addition to her new GlobalTex responsibilities and will continue to be based in Dallas.
Cole joined MCMC in 2005 as vice president of retail development.
Her career includes stints as vice president of merchandising and sales for Jones New York and brand manager for Federated Department Stores.
MCMC also operates the ShanghaiMart and the Brussels International Trade Mart.
For its debut show, GlobalTex secured the endorsement of the Textile Association of Los Angeles and included a “French Pavilion,” organized by Espace Textile, and a trend forum curated by Mudpie. The next show is set for Oct. 13–15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. —Alison A. Nieder
