Browzwear Rolls Out V-Stitcher 3-D
Browzwear International has updated V-Stitcher, its 3-D application used in enhancing CAD systems as well as in other visualization applications.
V-Stitcher 4.4 features new anatomically correct 3-D human models, or avatars, to accommodate all product types, including maternity wear, lingerie and infant wear. The V-Stitcher’s 3-D simulation engine has also been enhanced and is faster than the previous version. In addition, the software features enhanced fabric thickness support and smoothing capabilities, alongside fabric-testing methods for a more lifelike presentation of the garment. Improved presentation and design capabilities were also added to enhance the entire product-development process, making it faster and more intuitive, said Browzwear Chief Executive Officer Aviela Sherbu-Cohen.
“During tough market climates, the fashion industry needs to embrace cost-effective solutions with increased efficiency,” Sherbu-Cohen said.
During use with top accounts, V-Stitcher has been able to reduce sample-making costs by as much as 70 percent, said Sherbu-Cohen. Product-to-shelf times have been cut in half for some, she added. —Robert McAllister
