Gap Inc. is going to Israel. The San Francisco–based retailer has signed up with franchise partner Elbit Trade & Retail Ltd. to open a Gap store this fall in Tel Aviv with apparel for men, women and children. A Banana Republic store will open in Jerusalem in 2010. With its franchise partners, Gap has stores in 14 countries, from Qatar and Kuwait to Bulgaria and Croatia.
