Tool Box Showroom Closes
The Tool Box showroom, which specialized in contemporary and denim brands, has closed its doors after 14 years in The New Mart.
Owner Marie Kennedy Shaffer, who also makes the Blue Tattoo brand of denim, said the showroom’s brands have already been placed with other showrooms. Over the years, Shaffer worked with brands such as Meltin’Pot, Silver Jeans, Hardtail and Soul Revival.
“The decision was not an easy one to make,” Shaffer said. “A vast amount of circumstances were a part of this decision, not withstanding the current state of the economy.”
Blue Tattoo will continue to operate, and sales for the brand will be out of its Los Angeles design studio. Katarina Spajic will continue with the brand as its national sales manager. —Erin Barajas
