Cable network Bravo is casting its new fashion reality show, “The Fashion Show,” and there’s at least one Los Angeles designer in the running.
Bravo has asked viewers and BravoTV.com visitors to choose between two designers—Los Angeles menswear designer Andrew Christian and Chicago designer Elise Bergman—for the final spot on the show.
The Bravo site includes short bios, photos and a video for both designers (and they both have their own Web sites, as well).
Christian has been designing since 1997, growing his company to include underwear, swimwear, apparel and accessories—primarily for men, but he also designs some pieces for women. His label can be found at Kitson Men and Fred Segal in Los Angeles, Patricia Field in New York, and Harvey Nichols in the United Kingdom.
Bergman has been designing her own label of women’s apparel and bridal styles since 2006. Her retail stores include Jenni B. in Monrovia, Calif., Macy’s in Chicago, and her own store in Lakeside, Mich.
Far be it for California Apparel News to tell you who to vote for, but I will say I’ve been to an Andrew Christian runway show (see our coverage here), and the man does know how to put on a highly entertaining event.
Visitors can vote here as often as they like until voting ends on Feb. 13.
