New Year Brings In New RVCA Store
RVCA's Los Angeles Store
The end of the year can be a time for reflection, but for the good folks at Costa Mesa, Calif.-fashion brand RVCA, it’s a great time to open a boutique.
On Dec. 30, RVCA rolled into a 1,600-square-foot store at 501 N. Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles. The Blackburn Sweetzer blog first ran a story on the new RVCA boutique settling into a boutique formerly occupied by skatewear brand SLB.
The space sells RVCA’s art and sports-inspired styles for guys and girls, including its fashion-forward Erin Wasson X RVCA collection. The RVCA store’s retail price points range from $27 for a T-shirt, $30 for a natty hat and $48 for a woven shirt.
The Los Angeles store looks a bit utilitarian despite paintings from SUMI Inc., which hang on the walls. RVCA founder and creative director PM Tenore said his company had not finished the store’s look quite yet. RVCA opened its VASF boutique in San Francisco in 2007, which of course begs the question: Will there be other RVCA stores? “I’m not sure yet,” Tenore said.
