Tt Collection Pops Up and Parties
Open a store, throw a party. It’s what designer Tiffany Saidnia did Dec. 3. She produced a soiree/fund-raiser at the new pop-up shop for her fashion label, Tt Collection. The Tt Collection pop-up shop opened at 8207 W. Third St. in Los Angeles on Nov. 20. Saidnia co-hosted the debut party with actress Brittany Murphy. The event benefitted Los Angeles–based nonprofit Looking Above and Beyond, which raises funds for children with disabilities.
Saidnia reported having a lot to celebrate with the short history of her pop-up shop. The 1,900-square-foot space is the first branded boutique for her fashion basics collection, which debuted in 2007. The shop also recouped its investment during its first week of business, she reported. So until its scheduled closure on Dec. 31, it can concentrate on making profits and representing the brand from its West Third Street perch, located in a stylish fashion neighborhood. Boosting its cool quotient, Tt Collection is located a few storefronts down from hip eatery Toast.
Tt Collection started as a luxury basics line. For its first collection, its specialty was a basic T-shirt made out of Supima cotton. Since then, it has grown into a ready-to-wear collection that offers items such as racer-back T-shirts and intricate lace skirts. Most items retail under $200. But price points go from $60 to $385.
Before launching Tt Collection, Saidnia worked for Los Angeles fashion labels such as Ella Moss, Henry Duarte and Imitation of Christ. Tt Collection is sold in more than 350 stores across the world. If she continues to deem the pop-up shop successful, Saidnia said, she might open another Tt Collection store.—Andrew Asch
