Zachary's Smile will party for its first year anniversary
Even if the economy is gloomy, boutique owners find ways to make the holidays be times of celebration and charity. In the next few weeks, many boutiques and denizens of the fashion world will bring in the holiday spirit with parties, charity pop-up shops and unique gifts. A couple of these shindigs follow:
The Zachary’s Smile fashion label will celebrate the first year anniversary of its Silverlake boutique on Dec. 10. Look forward to champagne, strawberries and a sale of 25 percent to 50 percent off of the store’s fashions. Zachary’s Smile is located at 4014 Sunset Blvd.
On Dec. 3, Shop for a Cause opened a pop-up shop at 8816 Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood. It will donate proceeds of its sales to the Cambodian Children’s Fund. Designers donating fashions to the pop-up were Ella Moss, Splendid, Ever, Future Heretics, Twirls Twigs, Superdry and William Rast.
On Dec. 12-13, The Graffiti Beach pop-up shop will debut at the Bo Bridges Gallery, located at 1246 Hermosa Ave. in Hermosa Beach, Calif. It is the first retail venture for Graffiti Beach founder Melanie Michaud. Graffiti Beach will focus on selling art and fashion. The Hermosa store will offer swimwear from labels Tavik and Lightning Bolt.
