Greenspan Leaving Moss Adams at End of the Year
Rob Greenspan, managing partner of Moss Adams LLP, will step down from the company at the end of the year to work as an independent consultant to the apparel industry.
“I’ve been with Moss Adams for 30 years, 25 as partner and 14 as managing partner,” Greenspan said. “After 30 years, it’s time for a change.”
Greenspan quietly informed Moss Adams about his plans in May but waited until late August to make the announcement to the entire company.
As managing partner of the Los Angeles–based accounting firm, Greenspan is well-known as a business leader and the affable host of industry mixers, including the upcoming Apparel & Textile Accountants & Consultants reception in Las Vegas. (Moss Adams is the West Coast member of ATAC, which includes U.S. accounting firms Dixon Hughes PLLC and Weiser LLP and international firms Despach Freyssinier Morin SC, Collins & Barrow, Mintz & Partners LLP and SNG Collins Barrow.)
Many just starting out in the fashion industry know Greenspan through the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator Award, which has been presented to up-and-coming West Coast designers at the Los Angeles Fashion Awards.
“I love the industry, and I’m still passionate about it,” he said. Greenspan plans to continue working with apparel companies, assisting with financial planning and strategic consulting.
“All the things I’m good at,” he said, adding, “I’m really excited.”—Alison A. Nieder
