Miami Swim Fashion Week Cruise 2010: White Sands Australia
Contemporary swim and resort line White Sands Australia presented its Spring/Summer 2010 collection on July 18 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.
Designer Leah Madden created a collection of sweetly romantic styles decorated with floral prints, palm leaves, polka dots and ruffles. Titled “Floresensce,” the collection came in a palette of sherbet orange, pink, lime green, turquoise and black. The look was a little sexy and a little sweet with a nod to the carefree style of Australia. There were plenty of tiny Brazilian cuts, sophisticated maillots and coordinating resort wear in silk jersey and silk habutai. Standout looks included a pink “Romance” maillot with orange rosettes, a green strapless “Tea Party” dress and a plunging one-piece aptly named “Social Pages.”—N. Jayne Seward
