Miami Swim Fashion Week Cruise 2010: Luli Fama
“Luli Quiere Rumba” (“Luli Wants to Party”) was the theme for the Luli Fama 2010 collection.
Designers Lourdes (a.k.a. Luli) Hanimian and brother-in-law Augusto Hanimian presented the collection on July 19, the closing night of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. It was hard not to be in the party spirit as the collection walked the runway in groups aptly named “Rumba,” “Pasion,” “Boom Boom Boom,” and “Fiesta en Miami.”There were plenty of festive paisley prints, ethnic patterns and bright eye-popping colors. The Miami–based design duo knows their customer who appreciates girly ruffles and has fun loving spirit. Wild animal prints, sexy monokinis and skimpy cheeky shorts left little to the imagination. —N. Jayne Seward
