Kors, Baker, Bernini Sign On to Santa Monica Place
The grand opening is one year away, but Santa Monica Place is moving full-steam ahead to sign up new tenants.
Designer Michael Kors will open a store, as will British lifestyle brand Ted Baker. Swarovski will open a boutique to showcase jewelry, handbags and home accessories. Other boutiques include menswear retailer Bernini and Angl, a trend-focused retailer for young women.
The mall is currently closed as it undergoes a massive renovation to reinvent the formerly enclosed space into an open-air lifestyle center. Plans call for a rooftop deck with ocean views and a mix of fine and casual dining.
Previously announced fashion tenants include Bloomingdale’s, which will open its SoHo concept store, Nordstrom, Kitson, BCBGMaxAzria, Coach, Ed Hardy, True Religion, Joe’s Jeans, Ilori, Love Culture, Michael Brandon, R.O.C. Republic of Couture and Arthur and Shuz.
The opening is slated for Aug. 6, 2010.
