CIT Assists in Sun Capital Deal
An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners Inc. acquired discount retailer Gordmans with the help of a bridge loan refinanced with a $65 million senior secured credit facility. New York–based CIT Group Inc. served as a joint lead arranger and syndication agent in the deal. Sun Capital Partners Inc. is a private investment firm with offices in Boca Raton, Fla.; Los Angeles; and New York and affiliate offices in London; Paris; Frankfurt; Tokyo; and Shenzhen and Shanghai, China. Gordmans, which was founded in 1915, operates 65 stores.
