P.J. Salvage Goes to the Beach
Irvine, Calif.–based loungewear brand P.J. Salvage has launched P.J. Salvage Beachwear for women. Debuting for the Spring 2009 season, the Beachwear collection features sun dresses, tunics, hooded tops and maxi dresses in fabrications such as terry toweling, chiffons, cotton and silk voile. Targeting specialty boutiques, swim shops and better department stores, the Beachwear collection will retail for $60 to $100. Buyers got their first peek at the new collection, which channels P.J. Salvage’s casual vibe, at the MAGIC Marketplace in Las Vegas in August.
“For the past 13 years, P.J. Salvage has built a strong niche in the intimates/loungewear market,” said Peter Burke, president of P.J. Salvage, in a statement. “We believe people connect and aspire to the lifestyle and spirit of the beach, and we wanted to translate that in our line. The Beachwear collection is our next step for continuing the growth of the brand.” —Erin Barajas
