Bloomie's in the UAE
Bloomingdale’s will open its first international store in February 2010 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Bloomingdale’s parent company, Cincinnati–based Macy’s Inc., struck a licensing deal with UAEbased Al Tayer Group LLC to open two Bloomingdale’s locations in The Dubai Mall. Bloomie’s will have a three-level, 146,000-square-foot apparel and accessories store and a one-level, 54,000-square-foot home store. The stores will be managed and operated by Al Tayer Insignia, a division of Al Tayer Group.
