Rodarte's Hybrid Accessories
Sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the design team behind Los Angeles–based Rodarte, introduced an eco-chic candle and bracelet at their Sept. 9 runway show at New York Fashion Week. The eco accessories were developed in an ongoing partnership with Lexus Hybrid Living, an event and Web portal program launched by luxury automaker Lexus to highlight environmentally friendly luxury products. Guests at the Rodarte fashion show received a specially designed soy candle in a recycled glass container featuring imagery influenced by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki and a bracelet made from leather recycled from Lexus vehicles.
