Nicola Bertti in Beverly Hills
Southern California weather is still moderately warm, but that didn’t stop guests at Nicola Bertti’s store party on Oct. 15 who shopped current Fall merchandise in anticipation of the chill of autumn. Guests sipped margaritas and browsed the complete offerings of shoes, handbags, party frocks, outerwear and sportswear for men and women at Nicola Bertti’s flagship store, located at 9467 Santa Monica Blvd. in Beverly Hills.
Nicola Bertti’s new contemporary direction yielded on-trend items, including a mustard-yellow perforated-leather jacket that sold for $459 retail; cotton/polyamide short trench jackets for $149 retail; and a long-sleeved cotton/spandex 1970s bohemian knit dress for $96 retail. Men’s clothes had a European edge, including a striped motorcycle vest, embellished tees and clean blazers.
Co-owner Sai Abrahami said they landed on Santa Monica Boulevard because they “love the design of the [multilevel] space” and its location nearby the famed Rodeo Drive and the contemporary sportswear boutiques on Beverly Drive. The 15-year-old line, based in Los Angeles, opened its flagship store last year and plans to open stores in Topanga Canyon Mall, Century City Mall and Fashion Square Mall in the coming months. —Rhea Cortado
