Forever 21 Opens in South Korea
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA—The newly opened Forever 21 in the Myeong-dong shopping district in Seoul, South Korea, is barely a month old, and it is already packed with shoppers getting their hands on the Los Angeles–based retailer’s trendy fashions. The Myeong-dong store expands to four floors and includes menswear, accessories, a lounge, and Forever 21 offshoots Heritage 1981 and Cereal, its loungewear line.
Founded by Korean-American immigrants, this is the first Forever 21 retail store in Korea. The brand seems to have come full circle as Seoul’s young fashionistas embrace its mix of casual and dressy looks. Shoppers were overheard commenting on the affordability of the offerings at the store.
