H. Lorenzo Goes Green
Lorenzo Hadar, the owner of high-end Los Angeles boutique H. Lorenzo, will debut HLNR, a store constructed with some eco-friendly elements such as roof-based solar-power panels. The 4,000-square-foot store will be located at 474 N. Robertson Blvd. on the corner of Rangely Avenue, a couple of blocks north of the high-profile boutiques Kitson and Lisa Kline.
The store will open on April 2.
Hadar said that the fashion shopper often is an environmentally minded shopper. He wanted to build a space that would appeal to them. The building’s other environmental details include low-flush toilets, a paperless receipt system and fixtures that use sustainable materials.
The building was designed by Italian architect Oliviero Baldini, who designed the H. Lorenzo Men’s and Women’s boutiques on the exclusive Sunset Plaza retail strip in West Hollywood, Calif.
The store will offer two organic fashion lines, Botanika and Kohzo Denim. The rest of the merchandise will include fashion labels such as Zac Posen, Ann Demeulemeester, Balmain, Comme Des Garccedil;ons, Preen, Veronique Branquinho, Viktor & Rolf and Junya Watanabe.
North Robertson also may turn into a fashion street. New York–based menswear designer Steven Alan opened a boutique at 638 N. Robertson this month. —Andrew Asch
