Christian Audigier to Host Pop-up Showroom at CMC
Christian Audigier will take over a 3,600-square-foot space at the California Market Center during the March 14shy;–18 run of the Los Angeles Fashion Market, where he will host informal fashion shows and showcase his lines.
Audigier’s seven collections—Christian Audigier, Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier, Smet, Crystal Rock, Paco Chicano, C–A and Chuck Boyd—will be showcased in the space, located in the lobby patio on the CMC’s ground floor. In addition, the company’s four licensed lines for shoes, belts, swimwear and scarves will be on display, as well, according to Carol Leffler, Audigier’s assistant.
“Christian wants to embrace downtown L.A. and the Mart,” she said. “He wants to be supportive [of the CMC]. I think others will follow his lead.”
The temporary showroom will be open March 14–17.
Audigier’s presence at market will come on the heels of three Los Angeles Fashion Week runway shows, as well as a new Ed Hardy store opening in San Francisco. All of the company’s brands will be on the runway at three shows at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles. Two shows, on March 11 and March 12, are open to the public, and the third, on March 13, is an invitation-only event for press, stylists and special guests.
