Timbuk2 Inks Deal With CenterStone Technologies
San Francisco–based accessories company Timbuk2 is using the Internet to manage sales and orders. The company has signed an agreement with Denver-based CenterStone Technologies Inc. to use its iVendix system, which enables dealers and sales reps to view e-catalogs online and check on availability status, as well as place orders around the clock and track them later.
Timbuk2 produces messenger bags, totes, computer cases and other accessories.
The company joins others—including Vans, The North Face, JanSport, Reef and Perry Ellis International—which have also signed on with iVendix.
“In addition to being an order-taking engine for dealers and sales reps, this new Timbuk2-branded B2B e-commerce solution can deliver targeted marketing messages and promotions to these other customers, the specialty retailers and wholesale buyers,” said Tom Detmer, chief executive officer of CenterStone.
