eBay's $60 Million Damage
A French court has ordered eBay to pay 38.6 million euros, or $60.8 million, in damages to luxury house Moeuml;t Hennessy Louis Vuitton in a case over counterfeit goods sold on the online auction site. According to the suit, 90 percent of the products bearing Louis Vuitton or Dior, another LVMH division, sold on eBay are fake. eBay argued that it halts auctions after counterfeit allegations are filed
