Kneen Joins Banana
San Francisco–based Gap Inc. named Simon Kneen executive vice president of design and creative director for Gap’s Banana Republic division. Kneen has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, most recently as creative design director for the Retail Brand Alliance, where he oversaw the creative direction of the Brooks Brothers and Adrienne Vittadini brands, as well as Casual Corner while it was still under the Retail Brand Alliance umbrella. His experience also includes stints at Italian label Maska and French label Maison Balmain, as well as his own label, Simon Kneen Collection, a luxury line of suitings, separates and accessories sold in Italy.
