Textile/Apparel Search Engine Debuts
A new Web site offering access to a database of apparel, fabric, fiber, chemical and yarn resources has debuted at www.nctextileconnect.com.
The site is sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Commerce and includes information on more than 1,500 North Carolina–based mills and other companies, as well as resources from across the country.
The site is intended to help the state’s firms market their products and services to each other and to potential customers worldwide. The site is a state venture with North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles and includes access to the college’s vast library of resources.—Robert McAllister
