Fashion Lineup Announced for Mayor Villaraigosa's L.A. Fashion Week Eco Party
Organizers for FutureFashion L.A., the eco-themed fashion event to be held at the Getty House in Los Angeles during Los Angeles Fashion Week, named the 17 labels participating in the March 13 event.
Bahar Shahpar, Binetti, Deborah Lindquist, Erica Tanov, Hazel Brown, Imitation by Imitation of Christ, Magda Berliner, Organic, Rozae Nichols, Skin, Stewart+Brown, Suss, The Stronghold, Tree, Trina Turk, Trovata and VPL by Victoria Bartlett will be part of a fashion installation on the front lawn of the Los Angeles mayor’s mansion. Each will present one-of-a-kind fashions made from sustainable materials in the presentation, sponsored by Earth Pledge, a nonprofit organization founded to “identify and implement technologies that balance human and natural systems.”
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will play host for the event along with Ed Mandelbaum and Barbara Kramer, co-founders of the Designers and Agents trade show; Steven Kolb, executive director of the New York–based Council of Fashion Designers of America; and Leslie Hoffman, executive director of EarthPledge. The party is sponsored by the Los Angeles Times “Image” section and the Los Angeles Times Magazine.
