Rampage Heads to China
Rampage, the juniors brand founded in California but now owned by New York–based Iconix Brand Group Inc., is going to China. Iconix China Limited, the joint venture between Iconix and Novel Fashion Brands Limited, struck a deal with mail-order company Mecox Lane Limited to develop the Rampage brand in Greater China. Mecox Lane plans to open more than 50 free-standing Rampage stores beginning in mid-2009. In addition, Mecox Lane will offer Rampage product in its catalogs and on its e-commerce sites.
