Liz's Scarpa Joins The Talbots
Hingman, Mass.–based retail chain The Talbots Inc. named former Liz Claiborne executive Michael Scarpa as chief operating officer of The Talbots. Scarpa held the same position at New York–based Liz Claiborne. Talbots Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer Ed Larson also announced plans to retire after nearly 20 years with the company. When Larson retires in early January, Scarpa will assume the title of chief financial officer.
