Jones New CEO, Web Handle
New York–based Jones Apparel Group Inc. promoted Jay Friedman to chief executive officer of company-owned retail footwear and apparel. Previously, he was president of company-owned retail footwear and apparel. In other Jones news, the company announced a new domain name for its corporate Web site, www.jonesapparel.com. The previous domain name, www.jny.com, will host the company’s new e-commerce site, which is set to launch later this year. Jones Apparel Group owns and produces several brands, including Jones New York, Nine West, Anne Klein, Gloria Vanderbilt, Kasper, Bandolino, Easy Spirit, Evan-Picone, l.e.i., Energie, Enzo Angiolini, Joan & David and Sam & Libby
