Calvin's New Deal
Calvin Klein Inc., a division of Phillips–Van Heusen Corp., has struck a licensing deal with G-III Apparel Group Ltd. for the Calvin Klein better women’s sportswear collection. Kellwood Co. previously held the license. The agreement gives G-III the right to manufacture and distribute Calvin Klein better women’s apparel to department stores and specialty stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as additional Central and South American territories beginning the Spring/Summer 2009 season. G-III currently holds licenses for Calvin Klein men’s and women’s better outerwear, women’s better dresses and suits, and women’s performance apparel.
