Kmart's Online Ad Contest

Kmart, the subsidiary of Hoffman Estates, Ill.–based Sears Holdings Corp., is inviting “junior fashionistas” to create their own Kmart commercial in a promotion for new the ABC reality show “High School Musical: Get in the Picture,” which will be hosted by Nick Lachey. The “Show Your Back-to-School Style: Get in the Commercial” contest invites teens aged 13 and older to create a 30- to 60-second Kmart commercial on the discount retailer’s channel on YouTube. The commercials should profile teens “demonstrating how Kmart works with their unique Back-to-School style and personality.” The retailer will convene a panel of judges to select the top 20 videos. YouTube visitors will be encouraged to vote on their favorite, and the winning video will be professionally produced and aired on national TV.
