Erin Braxton: Elegant Comfort

Erin Braxton takes the lazy comfort of pajamas and elevates it to fashionable loungewear also fit for a weekend wardrobe.

“Most people come home and they immediately take off their clothes and put on something else,” Braxton said. “I wanted that diversity, that crossover, that ability to just run in and out.”

Braxton started her self-named line of loungewear in 2003 while still working full time at an advertising agency in Dallas whose clients included Dr. Pepper, Greyhound, Target and Nokia. This May, she moved to Los Angeles to work solely on her loungewear line.

The line’s palette of solid colors of black, cocoa and white complements the collection’s sophisticated styling and minimalist details. A Modal/Lycra running-style short is treated with a shiny silk trim, and a V-neck Modal/cotton/Lycra pique-blend flowing tunic is gathered on the sleeves and on the empire waist. The absence of lace keeps the line from looking exclusively innerwear so that the customer can wear a top out to walk her dog, the way that Braxton does. The collection’s knit fabrics and draped shapes are the ultimate in comfort.

“You work so hard to have a nice environment and home. You want to feel comfortable and feel nice in your house,” Braxton said.Wholesale price points range from $19 for Modal/Lycra briefs up to $96 for a long wrap robe. —Rhea Cortado
