Design, Pattern-Making Company Launches in L.A.
Unlimited Design Services—which offers pattern-making, design and consultant services for apparel manufacturers—has opened an office in Los Angeles.
The company, headed by industry veteran Rocio Evenett, also operates in London. Evenett worked in the Los Angeles area prior to moving to the United Kingdom in 2000.
Her Southern California design center offers design services for womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and denim. The company also offers in-house and outsourced CAD and grading services using PAD System Technologies and does 3-D concept boards, flat sketches, digital-print design and line sheets.
Evenett has almost 20 years of experience, having worked with companies including Rampage, Jonathan Martin and Perry Ellis.
To mark the company’s opening, it is offering discounts of 15 percent to 25 percent off various services.
“We’re focusing on start-ups and mid-sized companies. We’re not one of these companies that just looks at doing things the fastest and cheapest ways. We try to look at the big picture and how to maximize production efficiency,” said Evenett.
“A lot of the pattern services are moving offshore because of the costs here. It’s good to see companies like Rocio’s offering value, giving incentives to keep the pattern business here in the U.S.,” said Kristine Gloviak, vice president of PAD’s U.S. distributor, GCL. —Robert McAllister
